This deck girder span crosses Doxies Fork and County Road 243 in rural Howard County.
The bridge crosses Doxies Fork nearly a third of a mile from the nearby massive Doxies Creek Bridge.

On the Kansas City Southern line across Missouri, there are some impressive viaducts. This structure is smaller than some viaducts, but is still fairly impressive.
The bridge features three large deck girder spans, set onto concrete encased stone piers. The top of the piers is made of solid concrete, and this main span likely replaced a deck truss in 1900.
The substructures were originally built in 1885. The top portions of the piers were built in 1900 for the bridge. It is unknown when these piers were encased.

Overall, the bridge is in decent condition. The substructures have begun to show signs of aging, and should be jacketed to prevent further deterioration.
Other than this, the bridge appears to be in healthy condition. The author has ranked this bridge as being locally significant due to the smaller spans and more common design.
